Founded in 2012, The Screen Acting Academy provides educational training and coaching services for aspiring actors. As Canada's fastest-growing performing arts school, the Screen Acting Academy comprises two training centers: one in Ottawa and the other in Calgary as well as online services. Created for those who want to establish a career in the performing arts industry, actors are instructed and mentored by industry professionals and learn to apply acting techniques, develop their method and find success through empowering instruction.

The Screen Acting Academy hosts a variety of training courses throughout the year, by semester. Each semester offers specialized learning opportunities for students aged 13 and older and includes an introductory reel with enrolment. ‘Just Scenes ' Workshop Series

Focused sessions to help you Expand your abilities

Our ‘Just Scenes’ workshops are short-form, single to two-day courses that offer students an opportunity to study a specialization and exercise their skills. Designed for teens and adults ages 13 and older, prior training is recommended.

Youth 8-12

Learn To becomE a professional actor

The Screen Acting Academy offers training specifically designed for young actors. These courses are aimed at boosting confidence and creating an enriched and safe space for kids to learn how to strengthen their skills in the performing arts. Plus they will get to participate in a short film produced with amazing industry professionals on a functional film set.
